Wundagore Castle
Completely renovated since its purchase in 1980, the
historic Wundagore Castle blends old-world charm with modern functionality and
convenience. There are currently accommodations for 13 students total - 6
girls, 7 boys. The north wall of the castle is situated on a rock face
overlooking the valley below. Solar and geothermal energy source
technology currently provides 80% of the castle's power, all but eliminating the
dangers and negatives associated with fossil fuels. Students are free to
explore the first and second floors of the castle at their leisure--basement
access is by permission only.

The Grounds
To the north and east of Wundagore Castle, Wundagore Valley
stretches out for approximately 3 miles, less than a mile wide, nestled between
rocky spurs of Wundagore Mountain. The valley receives a great deal of
melt run-off from the mountain in the spring and summer, swelling the stream to
the size of a small river, and keeping the valley green and lush. Access
to hiking trails through the valley is free to all students, but hiking up the
slopes of the mountain is strictly discouraged without faculty supervision.
In the fall and winter, naturally, students are briefed on snow and cold-weather
safety and must not venture into the valley without a fellow student or faculty
accompanying them. Wundagore Mountain may hide some small caves and
abandoned mining tunnels, as well, which students are strictly barred from
entering without direct faculty supervision. Should a student stumble
across the entrance to one, he or she must notify the Headmaster immediately so
that the entrance can be properly secured.
Failure to comply with these safety precautions will result in censure.
